This is the last outfit post from my August Closet Remix. Even though I failed the shopping ban, I did succeed in wearing only items I already had for an entire month (besides the Hunter boots...pretend that didn't happen). That is pretty darn good, if you ask me. I do blame JCrew and their lovely September catalog for making me break a promise to myself. Oh well, maybe next time...

As you can see, I am squeezing the last bit of summer out of my closet. What is more summer appropriate than a nautical look? I can honestly say that I am a little upset that nautical based stylings do not transition very well into fall. What are you upset about leaving behind as we head into autumn?

These last few weeks of summer will be bitter sweet. I am excited because fall is just around the corner, and that means I can put to use my new JCrew items; however, I am a little sad because it also means I will need to put away some of my favorite summer looks. I am so bored with summer clothes, and the JCrew catalog isn't helping things. I am craving boots, jackets and leather. The wonderful state of Georgia will probably have me holding off until atleast October... Hooray for humidity... So, for now, I will have to embrace short sleeves and cotton skirts.

I failed... I am so upset (not really). My Closet Remix and shopping ban for the month of August didn't last as long as I had planned. On a positive note, I did last almost three whole weeks, and according to Jordan that is fantastic for me. So, do you want to know what made me cave? Hunter Rain Boots...Completely adorable and on-sale in the exact color that I have been coveting. Darn...
